"What are you waiting for?"

Guess what?! Tonight, it is official. Regardless of what I say, do, or feel I am going to write my first official blog. For at least two years now I have wanted to write, however, I always questioned if I was ready. Do I need a good story? Do I have something great to say? Do I need more education or practice in devotional writing? Am I ready? Am I ready? Am I ready? So often I have questioned my ability to live out my dreams. Even more so I have questioned my ability to be my authentic self. I wonder how many people live their entire lives waiting for the right time to live their dreams, to write that first blog, take that first class, start that business, to do what they love and love what they do. Tonight, I want to thank God for giving me the courage to begin a new journey of not only discovering more about myself. But also a new journey where I consciously make it a priority to share what God has blessed me with: a voice. In the past I as well as others have asked me, "Kit, what are you waiting for?" I can now answer that question. I was waiting on myself.

If you are sitting on a dream, a goal, a vision, a gift, ask yourself the question: "What and/or who am I waiting for?" If the answer is YOU it is important to challenge yourself. If you BELIEVE you CAN do anything, absolutely anything! This first blog is proof!

Be encouraged brothers and sisters.

With tears of joy,

Argrow "Kit"

  1. I agree with you Kit. We wonder if we are ready but if God gave it to us then we are ready. we can do all things through Christ. So I'm announcing on your blog something that I have not shared with a lot of peoples. God has given me a vision for a church to be called Spirit of the Lord Outreach Church. I believe it so I can do it. to God be the glory.

  3. Congratulations on the new blog! I am proud of you. Sometimes, God tells us we are ready, but we let fear psych us out of moving forth. When we trust God and just dive in, only great things are bound to happen. I am reminded of Zerrubabel in the OT who said write your visions down. Definitely onto something, his theory holds as true. It is amazing to look back over the visions God gave you. Even more so, to look back and say they have come to pass. Peace and blessings to you!

  5. It's so easy to step out on faith when you know that Big G won't let you fall. This is awesome and I'm so proud of you for giving the world more of you. I too believe we all can do ALL things through Christ. Love you!

  6. I appreciate your voice! What you all are saying is so true. The thing is I truly believe that God puts the vision and our gifts inside of us from a very young age. It is just imperative that we pay attention to it and put in the time to nurture our gifts, spiritual discipline, as well as sometimes literally stepping out on faith. Pastor, if God gave you the vision, as Veronda said, "write your visions down" and make it plain. The only thing is God meets us, but we also have to meet him at least half way. James 2: 17 notes, "In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead." Faith without works is dead. It can be super scary to step out and answer the call with our words and actions, but with God, Spirit, all things (ALL THINGS) are possible.
